		<description>Sadly, this seems to be happening everywhere.  Certainly where I live, Montgomery County, MD.  We&#039;ve never had gifted IEPs, but GT students were considered as on of the &quot;special populations&quot; in terms of school policy.  Well now they&#039;re rewriting the policy--and nowhere does the term &quot;gifted and talented&quot; appear. Now it&#039;s all about &quot;accelerated and enriched instruction&quot; and challenge for &quot;all children.&quot;</description>

		<description>What a tragedy it would be to lose the Special Ed designation for GT.  It&#039;s something that LA public schools do of which I&#039;m envious. Individual testing and IEPs are essential for the highest level of services.  In Texas, we&#039;re all trying to figure out to make that happen.</description>
